Food was very well seasoned and the owner was very nice. I was informed he only sells halal food. Which is a bonus! Would recommend!
Dear El Basha Market and Grill Team, I wanted to take a moment to share how much my wife and I enjoyed dining at your restaurant. The meals were absolutely fantastic, with incredible quality and taste, all at very reasonable prices. It was, without a doubt, some of the best food we've ever had! I've already started recommending El Basha to friends and family because the experience was so memorable. Thank you for your excellent service and for serving such high-quality meals. We can't wait to return soon! Best regards, Juan Flores Camarena
I stopped in primarily to try some of their Baklava. Since it was my first stop in the store I browsed around at the grocery related items that they had to offer. For a corner store they are packed with a variety of items that are well organized.I picked up some Fava beans, gelatin dessert and baklava. They offer different gelatin flavors than I have found anywhere else. (Banana, mulberry) If you are a fan of Baklava then you must be sure to purchase some from here. In my opinion not all baklava is created equal. Lol The baklava here is phenomenal! Stop in to shop and be sure to get some baklava.
Was so excited to try this place out just from reading the reviews. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by super friendly staff. The food was amazing, Such a delicious little spot! 100% recommend!
Came to Hemet to pick something up quick & stopped in for lunch. The chicken kebab plate was delicious! The chicken was very tender & perfectly seasoned. Brothers that own the store are very friendly. We bought a few items to take home & I noticed 2 were expired. So watch dates on the canned shelf items. Food is cooked fresh & delicious!
Absolutely loved LOVED this little Mediterranean market place! The gyros plate and the pita dip dish were AHMAZING! The best part though was strolling through the store and checking out all of the items from countries thousands of miles away. Couldn't resist the pickled vegetables, Halal beef stick (best I've ever had!), tzatziki sauce, and even picked up some milk Another customer was stockpiling up canned fava beans as he lived far away and was craving them. And then, to top it off, the employees were absolutely the BEST. The one gentleman takes orders, cooks the incredible meals, and also rings up customers. Talk about multi-tasking! Loved the little slice of life from far away. I actually felt as though I'd gone on a trip around the world Check them out in Hemet!
We came all the way from Orange County (San Clemente area) and we wanted some GOOD Arabic food, so we decided to look up some places and I read the reviews here and they were excellent! Rightfully so. The food was amazing, the chef and his team are so talented! They know exactly what they're doing, authentic, delicious and they are SO KIND HERE. Prices are beyond fair and they give you so much food!! You also have the market inside so you can buy anything else you might need and especially Arabic food that is few and far between in this area, they have everything!! you know you've found a wonderful place and wonderful people when they not only give you a wonderful meal, but also fabulous service! Nicest people here, they deserve good business, don't pass them up!!
Back in after ownership change and like others said, the new owner seems like a nice person. They even let my table-mate use the restroom even though it's for employee's only, that was nice of them. A couple tables in the place to eat if you are looking to do that also. The chicken shawarma and kebab plate were good, I liked the naan and rice was flavorful. It's a store so expect a wait for food prep as with all store/food prep situations. New menu coming soon. $33 for 2 meals
I ordered the Chicken Kebab and the seasoned chicken was tender; the rice lightly seasoned and mini salad had a good dressing. My guest had Chicken Shwarma Plate which the only difference was his chicken was shredded. It took a long time to get our food. Workers were polite and accommodating.
I am SO HAPPY to have found this gem of a market! I've spent a considerable amount of time looking for a market that carries quality Mid-Eastern goods and alas, I've found one that is under an hour's drive away from me! (This is SUCH a win - especially considering I live up in the mountains and most of the spots I typically shop at are AT LEAST an hour away) Perusing through the aisles of grocery stores has become my new favorite past-time. This shop definitely gives traditional Mid-Eastern grocery store vibes. Although the aesthetic is not a 21st century, modern, upscale, and chic spot, it's still a great place to shop for goodies that you won't find in typical grocery stores. I was particularly fond of the spice and coffee/tea section! I found nearly everything I was looking for - cardamom pods, Ceylon tea, akawi cheese, fruit leather from Syria (a RARITY to see anything from Syria these days), labneh - except for grape molasses which was sold out. To my surprise, there was also a kitchen in the back serving up made-to-order sandwiches, appetizers, and entrees! The falafel sandwich I ordered was yummy and filling. Shout outs to the owner, Muhammad, for being so kind, courteous, personable, and wonderful to talk to. I highly recommend this market for all folks - locals and travelers alike - looking for quality Middle Eastern goods!
